Slaughter and May, Hong Kong, advised Citigroup Global Markets Limited, as the placing agent, in relation to the secondary placing of 33,000,000 ordinary shares in Tsingtao Brewery Company Limited (Tsingtao Brewery) by China Momentum Investment (BVI) Limited, Fidelidade – Companhia de Seguros, S.A., Fosun Industrial Holdings Limited, Peak Reinsurance Company Limited and Star Insurance Company. The net proceeds from the placing were approximately US$300 million, and the placing was completed on 4 May 2021.
Tsingtao Brewery is a beer producer and distributor in China, which was founded in 1903 and is headquartered in Qingdao, China. Tsingtao Brewery has been listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong since 15 July 1993, being Hong Kong’s first H-share listing.
