Julia is the firm’s General Counsel, Compliance Officer for Legal Practice and Money Laundering Reporting Officer. She is a solicitor qualified in England and Wales and practised first as a corporate lawyer and then as a data protection specialist before joining the firm’s compliance department.
Her current role includes advising the firm on the full range of regulatory and other legal issues which affect it as a business, playing a key role in risk and reputation management more generally.
Julia is co-author of The In-Houser, the Slaughter and May publication which translates SRA rules for in house lawyers and frequently speaks to clients on that topic.
She is a member of the City of London Law Society’s Professional Rules and Regulations Committee and a liveryman of the City of London Solicitors’ Company.
