Collaborating with clients

Our diversity and inclusion strategy seeks to have an impact on wider society and by partnering with clients such as Aviva we hope to do just that.

Through our employee networks, which encourage inclusion and an ongoing dialogue between our people, our clients and our local community, we have shared best practice to further develop our activities and foster collaboration.

Extending the partnership further to reach young people participating on work insights schemes, Aviva hosted students from our Lead in to Law Programme. The two-year development programme provides 16-18 year old students from lower socio-economic backgrounds with work experience, insight opportunities, mentoring and university visits. By spending time at Aviva’s London offices students were able to experience how an in-house legal function operates.

We are always keen to collaborate with our clients. It has been fantastic to work with Aviva on diversity and inclusion issues to extend our reach and try to effect wider societal change. Richard Smith, Partner, Slaughter and May
By partnering with Slaughter and May on their established Lead in to Law Programme we were able to tailor an experience for the students which provided them with useful and tangible insights that will hopefully help them make informed decisions about their educational and career paths.
