Slaughter and May wins three China Business Law Journal Awards

Slaughter and May has won three 'Deals of the Year - 2024' awards from China Business Law Journal, for the following deals:

  • Equity Capital Markets Deal of the Year: Cirrus Aircraft’s HKD1.5bn IPO on HKEX
    Slaughter and May served as Hong Kong and US counsel to the sole sponsor, CICC. This marks the second largest IPO in Hong Kong in 2024, the world's first IPO of a private aircraft company, the first listed company in the general aviation industry in Hong Kong, and the only overseas subsidiary of a central enterprise to be listed in Hong Kong in the past decade.
  • Equity Capital Markets Deal of the Year: Vinda International's HKD26bn delisting from HKEX
    Acting for Bank of America, Essity’s financial adviser, on the take-private. This represents the largest cash privatization transaction in the consumer sector on the Hong Kong stock market in the past five years.
  • Liquidation, Bankruptcy and Restructuring Deal of the Year: Shenyang Auto’s RMB16.4bn Huachen buyout
    Advising Shenyang Automobile on Hong Kong law. This is the largest restructuring investment in China’s auto sector to date, taking nearly four years to finalise.
