Slaughter and May publishes latest responsible business report
The fifth annual responsible business report reviews the firm’s progress in continuing to improve its social and environmental performance.
Slaughter and May releases its 2024 responsible business report. The report provides an update of the firm’s progress towards its responsible business commitments that positively impact people, the planet, and the prosperity of wider society.
Highlights from the past year include ranking 5th in the Social Mobility Employers Index, achieving an A- rating through the Carbon Disclosure Project, advising on the UK Government’s Transition Plan Taskforce and providing pro bono legal advice to over 99 charities across 161 matters.
Deborah Finkler, Slaughter and May Managing Partner said: “Our progress over the last year was made possible by integrating responsible business as one of the firm’s key priorities. Our strategy is underpinned by our values framework, which sets out our commitments, not just to our clients and the firm, but also to our colleagues and the society in which we operate. Looking ahead, we will continue to consolidate and build on what we have achieved so far and work at pace with market developments as an adviser, a business and an employer.”
Uzma Hamid-Dizier, Director of Responsible Business added: “The outstanding feature of this year’s work has been the firmwide engagement in delivering on the objectives that we have set for ourselves. We must maintain this momentum, continue to challenge ourselves and remain alive to changes in the economy, the environment and wider society to adapt our business for sustained success.”
