Partner named in role models list
Slaughter and May is pleased to announce partner Sara Luder has been named in this year’s FT & HERoes 100 Female Executives, a list which highlights 100 senior female role models who are instrumental in promoting gender diversity in the workplace.
The FT & HERoes 100 Female Executives is part of the wider FT & HERoes Champions of Women in Business, a celebration of the strides being made to achieve gender diversity around the world. Published annually by the Financial Times, showcasing female business leaders and their male allies, there are three lists:
- 100 Female Executives - celebrating 100 senior female role models who are helping to increase gender diversity in the workplace.
- 50 Male Executives - recognising 50 male senior leaders who are making a significant contribution to gender diversity and the promotion of women to senior business roles.
- 50 Female Future Leaders - role models who work at all levels of an organisation and are making a significant contribution to gender diversity wherever they are placed in the company.
All of the 2018 Champions of Women in Business were nominated by peers and colleagues. Nominations were then reviewed by the FT & HERoes judging panel, consisting of: Mellody Hobson, President, Ariel Investments; Mark Wilson, CEO, Aviva; Gigi Chao, Vice Chairman, Cheuk Nang Holdings Limited; Helena Morrissey, Head of Personal Investing, Legal & General Investment Management; Suki Sandhu, Founder & CEO, INvolve and Harriet Arnold, Assistant Editor, Special Reports, Financial Times. Each person was scored on the seniority and influence of their role, their work done internally and externally to champion women, their recent and significant business achievements and the testimonial provided with their nomination.
Founder of INvolve and HERoes, Suki Sandhu, says: “These lists have been created with one aim – to create gender parity in workplaces across the globe. “The role models we’re recognising aren’t just those who have achieved success themselves – they’re those who are committed to lifting others with them as they climb, and ultimately fueling the female talent pipeline. All of our champions are inspiring the next generation of female talent.”
