Implementing the mobility directive in EU member states

The Best Friend firms in Europe have published a guide to implementing the Mobility Directive in EU Member States. The Mobility Directive establishes the legal framework that applies to cross-border conversions, mergers and divisions of limited liability companies within the EU. The guide provides an overview of the legal requirements in Italy, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and Portugal. While the Mobility Directive does not apply in the UK, we have contributed to the guide to set out the position in the UK including brief details of the report of the independent panel on Corporate Re-domiciliation which was published on 1 October 2024.
