Cyber Essentials is "a Government-backed, industry supported scheme to help organisations protect themselves against common cyber attacks".
Its launch this summer followed the Government’s consultation last year on the requirements for a preferred standard for cyber security. The scheme incorporates the output of work between Government and industry following that consultation.
