This year has been an important year for the development of the competition law regime in Hong Kong. In May, the Competition Tribunal handed down its first judgment for the first two cartel cases on the same day. The Hong Kong Competition Commission also brought the fourth cartel case before the Tribunal, in which the Commission further pursued its focus on individual liability.
