In this seat you will learn about the sources of data available to guide our decisions, how that data is used to drive strategic choices, and how it can be presented in the most effective way. You will also learn about how law firms make money and the different metrics that are used to drive success.

Pricing and Analytics

Providing data, analysis and insight to support the firm’s commercial decisions:

  • Responsible for the firm’s data strategy, which includes robust data collection and maintenance
  • Provides decision makers in the firm with meaningful analysis to aid decision making
  • Designs the systems and dashboards that delivers the management information required for partners to manage client relationships and understand our own business more effectively
  • Supporting partners throughout the matter life cycle, from setting agreed rates to structuring innovative alternative fee arrangements
Research and Insight

Providing information about our clients and the markets in which we operate in a way that enhances our understanding of their legal challenges and the commercial environment in which they operate:

  • Identifies relevant sources of data about clients and the markets in which they operate
  • Produces insights based on market and industry trends and forecasts to inform business development
  • Uses data visualisation techniques to make complex data digestible
  • Creates models and approaches for efficient client targeting and identifying commercial opportunities
